Steam Games either won't start or they stutter.

I reset my Windows 11 last evening on my Rog Ally.  The problem that occurs is when I install a Steam Game and press the Play Button, It either does not start, or it goes through the beginning screen, stutters and then goes back to choose start again. This only happens on Steam. It does not happen on Xbox Game Pass! 

I took my original Rog Ally back to Best Buy and they replaced it with a new one. But Lo and Behold, I still have problems with playing a Steam Game. I am at a total loss as to what is wrong. Is it a Windows thing or is it a Armoury Crate thing? This sort of stuff does not happen with my Onexplayer 2. 

I don't know what to do. And if this continues, I will just take the unit back to Best Buy and get my money back. Can anyone offer any kind of assistance? Such as a step by step manual perhaps.With Xbox Game Pass it works like a charm, but with the Steam Games it is a pile of ****.

I have excactly the same problem, but it seems it happend just after i updated my Rog Ally, bios etc.. Witcher 3 was starting just fine before the update. Now when i try to launch it from Steam, it just flicker, and goes back to start.

I  seen this posted on Steam.

 Change the following lines in the config (or config.cfg) file:

uset cf_asus_aura "1"

uset cf_razer_chroma "1"

Change the "1" to "0" and save it.

You can find the config (or config.cfg) file in your documents in the ETS2 folder.

Also update your GPU drivers. 

I did this for ETS and also ATS.

They both load with no problems. And also play just fine.

I guess as they say, CASE CLOSED!

I cant find that folder, is it windows or loacted im Steam launcher. I had this device aince launch and only play a few hours with hang ups! Steam work other day. Not wont load anything.

It is in the C:\documents Folder. You will see a folder for American Truck Simulator as well as Euro Truck SImulator.

I reset my device and restallefld everthing seems be working now. But happens again ill try steos outlined. I hope in end this all worth hassle.

Everything works great now. 😊 Took a soft factoryreset, through windows. And now everything works as it should after reinstalling everything. 😊
