Hi there, i am here to help you
ROG Ally is pretty great for handheld gaming compared to Nindento Switch and other handheld gaming consoles.
DISPLAY
The ROG Ally features a standard handheld game console form factor with a display in the middle and split controls on the side.
PERFORMANCE
ROG Ally provdies decent perfomance in games providing stable and high fps without stutter or lag
BATTERY LIFE
ROG Ally last for 2-3 hrs in turbo mode and 3-4 hours in perfomance mode.
Overall ROG Ally is a decent product to buy in 2023.

I just got my ROG Ally, and to summarize you can get if you are looking a powerful handheld PC on the go but you will mostly have to purchase more than what you think.
However, there are things that I haven't consider when I purchase this, and you might as well think about this.
First is that the ROG Ally's battery has 10810.81 mAh or 40Whrs, this looks large enough, but your gaming time will be either 2-3hrs on performance mode that only requires 15W, hence you might consider getting power bank that has 65watts.
Second the usable and might the only port you will mostly use will be the USB-C which is thunderbolt, hence you will need to consider getting a dock to have more ports and have wired internet connection for much faster internet speed.
Third with regards of the Memory Card Slot it works fine with mine but due to placement of the SD Card Slot this will might fail if you will have the ROG ALLY in Turbo mode that will be 25 watts and the temperature exceeding in 75 Celsius or more, you might as well keep in mid that you can either upgrade the SSD to 4TB if you plan to have more games.
The rest you will get normal things what you can get in laptop and PC, minus the keyboard and mouse.
I hope this helps. 🙂

I just got it and i LOVE this thing so much. Kind of brought me back to Gamegear days where portables are BIG. It looks big but quite comfortable to hold in the hand. The thing is you need some tinkering in windows to get this thing to work. If you are someone who just want to pick up a portable to play well Ally can be some issue because it runs windows. But for those who can tinker they can make anything work. The thing is windows handheld allows game mods to be installed further increasing the game appeal.

Having used a Steam Deck, ROG Ally and Legion Go I ended up keeping the Ally. The Ally I feel is the most polished of all the Windows handhelds, the Z1E version runs more demanding games, the native landscape VRR display looks fantastic/runs into less issues, the dual fans make the device run quiet and most importantly - it has the most "handheld" form factor all while having fantastic performance. Battery life could be better but I suggest playing indies in silent mode while handheld and playing in performance or turbo mode while plugged in. I absolutely love my Ally!

Thank you so much. I was debating on whether or not I should get it because some people say running Windows on a handheld was a bad idea.
