I know this seems to be an on going issue with the ROG Ally that the vibration motors have a reoccurring software bug but none of the fixes seem to work for me and I have experienced a few things that I haven't seen anyone else mentions. The two main things being that restarting the device does not fix the issue even temporarily, and the vibration issue extends beyond games so that even when I plug my device in to charge I experience the same aggressive vibration as I would playing a game.
I have made sure every possible aspect of the device is updated but this hasn't had any affect on the issue.
I would love to know if anyone else experiences the issue outside of games and if there are any fixes for it available, I have had my Ally for less than a week and I am a little annoyed that I am running into issues already but I really don't want to return it.

If you have the Ally X, you need to go to the official driver page and download ROG MCU FW Update Tool 313 / 314 from the hotfix section. That should fix the vibration issues.

If you have the regular Ally, Asus just dropped a MCU 320 FW update that should fix the vibration issues there. You can find it in Armoury Crate.
To fix the issue in both Ally’s temporarily, a restart won’t fix it, you need to power off the Ally and power it back on again.
