I would like to de-register my ROG ally in order to sell it, would this be possible? and would this allow the buyer to register and get the remainder of the warranty?

Yes, that’s totally possible. I’ve done it myself when I’ve bought a used Ally and also sold one too.

All you do is email Asus support from the email account that’s tied to your Ally and ask them to remove the current serial number that’s on your account right now as you plan to sell the device. Send them the serial number in the email and they’ll usually process it in a day or two. Then you can sell your Ally and the next owner can register it as their own.

Thanks! I have sent them a message on customer support, hopefully that works out.

Good luck trying to get any kind of support.  This should be a user function right from your account on their web page...  What a wonderful idea!  I think I'm going to sell mine as well.  Especially after having a problem that could have been resolved very quickly if ASUS only had developers that knew what they are doing.  Now that I have read about how badly ASUS handles their warranty situations, I am sickened to have given them even a penny of my money.  Trying to install a new SSD and no keyboard pops up to type in my wireless info.  Found a solution and now it requires secure boot..  Put the old drive back in, and now that says recovery, and no keyboard pops up for that either.  8 hours into this.. if only a developer with brains had seen it needed the keyboard right away in the bios, I wouldn't be sitting here typing about dead ends...  Buy a Legion Go, or MSI.  Don't waste your money on these losers...

I completely understand your frustration, it’s a mixed problem with Windows still a work in progress for a handheld ecosystem and then all these hardware changes.
