I'm not sure if this applies to other SSD manufacturers, but at least for Sabrent, they only provide a 2-year warranty for unregistered drives. That warranty extends to 5 years if you register the product.
If you used a drive from another manufacturer (WD, Corsair, Addlink etc), just check if registration is also required for full warranty support.
