I just got a new ROG Xbox Ally X (2025) and I’ve been running into a few issues I can’t figure out.
When I press the power button to put it to sleep, the screen goes black but the backlight stays on. It never fully turns off like it should.
The full-screen Xbox dashboard that used to launch when I started the device stopped showing up. Now it just boots straight to Windows desktop and I can’t find a way to get the Xbox Experience mode back.
The on-screen keyboard that used to slide up from the bottom when I clicked on text fields doesn’t appear anymore. It’s not the normal Windows touch keyboard—it’s the ROG version that comes with Armoury Crate.
I’m on BIOS 310 (which is the latest one listed on the official ASUS site for the ROG Xbox Ally X 2025), Windows is fully updated, and I’m running Armoury Crate SE 2.1.10. If anyone’s found fixes or heard about a new firmware update coming, I’d love to know.
