Is this normal?

hey so the last week ive had my ROG plugged into the power outlet, now and then i see the battery charger flick on, i check the battery and its at 99% sometimes it takes few minutes / half hour to go back to 100% why is  it doing this if its ALWAYS in power? i dont play on battery i play plugged in.

Turn on battery care mode, if you plan play plugged in, this will make the ally battery charging only up to 80%, so the battery life will not reduced, then if you want to fully charge jt turn on full charge 100% if you plan to charge it to 100%

Enabling Battery Care Mode is well worth doing.  The other neat thing is that you will have the option of charging the battery to 100% yet still leaving BCM enabled.  This is useful for trips and such.  You can also get battery banks that supply 65 watt power for recharging.

can i just leave it as it is at 100%? it regular drops to 99% than it goes back to 100% isn't it the same thing?

It would shorten the battery life, if you want to charge it to 100%, after 100% you must disable the instant charge mode, then let the charge passthrough your battery straight to device, DO NOT keep it on, as if it would cause a battery life shorten, like 100% to 99% then 100% again, then 99%, just an advice, but if you don't care and want to keep it like that, sure, just keep the Instant Charge 100% ON all the time

but i thought connecting it wired bypasses the battery?
