I love the ROG Ally X and have shifted the majority of my gaming to this device. With the announcement of the new XG Mobile EGPUs coming soon I'm planning to ditch my consoles and my desktop and replace everything with one device and two EGPUs: one for the living room and one for the office!
In the quest to make the ROG Ally X my only gaming device I'm hoping that the team at ASUS can update Armory Crate with some docked detection features. I'd love an option for the ROG Ally X to automatically disable the embedded controller once docked so I can use a separate controller from the couch or my desk. Right now, there are still some games that will only accept input from the embedded controller until it is disabled, which makes it a bit of a hassle to jump between docked and handheld modes. An auto-disable feature would be the perfect quality of life update to help me replace everything with one device.
