Had the ROG Ally for a few weeks a love it. Fantastic piece of hardware.
The Armory crate can seem slow / laggy at times, but it generally works good. It's missing a few things that would be very helpful, and should be easy to implement. Can you please add to the quick options menu (left button)
Operating Mode: Please allow us to cycle through ALL custom power profiles presets, NOT just 1 custom power profile preset. Silent (10w) might be a necessity because it's the minimum Ally operating requirement, but I don't use your Performance or Turbo modes because the SPPT and FPPT wattages being higher than the SPL are worthless. They're temporary boosts that fall back to the SPL wattage after a short amount of time. I set my manual wattages in steps of 3 watts (12w SPL, SPPT, FPPT, 15w SPL, SPPT, FPPT, 18w SPL, SPPT, FPPT, etc) all the way up to 24w. Then the temperatures get to hot and fans too loud. I'd like to choose my wattages in steps like this instead of only 1 custom preset available as an option.I also don't want to have to cycle through the prebaked Performance and Turbo wattage values. I'd like the option to not use your prebaked wattage value presets if I choose not to.
Windows Display Settings Scaling: Please add this as a quick option. By default, the Ally runs 1080p resolution with 150% display scale. Some games don't work properly if the Windows display scale is not 100% (like Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition, Unreal Tournament, etc). It would be nice to just press the left botton and change it quickly right before jumping into those games (or adding this option for the games' profiles in Armory Crate
Real Time Monitor: For each preset option (Minimal, Row, Square), please allow us to customize what gets shown. It would be nice to also have the frame time (and frame time graph), system RAM usage, VRAM usage, and total RAM usage as options to add to each preset option, if desired. If we can change the color for each value to our customization, that would be awesome, too.
In Armory Crate "Game Library" tab, can you allow us to zoom back so more than 12 games are on the screen at once? Can you also allow us to maybe have an option where we can have square icons for the games (we can choose custom pictures per game) so we can fit many more games on the screen at once? Can we also choose a default view? Currently, it always defaults to last played and I have to press a few presses to show alphabetical order. I'd like the games to be alphabetical order by default because I chose it that way.Or allow custom tabs here to categorize games and applications (like one tab for 1990s games, 1 tab for racing games, etc)
