Which new chip?

Looking at a binned 4.8 9800x or a off the shelf 9900x and take my chances with clock. Hoping for a modest 4.7. Do you guys think 4.7 is a safe chance or just stick to the guaranteed 9800x bin?

if you dont need avx512, i would recommend you 9900K @ 5 GHz instead, but if you need 10 cores, there is nothing to wait for with 9900X 🙂

I don’t totally need the cores but I absolutely need the PCIe lanes

well if you dont need cores, but pcie lanes, then 9800X at higher frequency would be good choice 🙂 at least from this point of view, but depends also on price difference

Binned 9800x is 770 plus shipping and tax. 999 for roll the dice 9900x and maybe 100mhz less clock. Kinda leaning toward 9900 I think
