what is microcode version for 7980xe - pre-downfall ? i want find / change micro code at 4001 UEFI for older microcode version to return perfomance.

020006E05 microcode or use BIOS 3801 and every version below.

My cpu 7980xe..

so i try find correct , explorer that micro code and import to 4001 , most import it no use to old microcode as one of them is fix melfdown and specte perfomance impact.

Problem is find 020006E05 microcode , need know bios where it is for extract 🙂
at asus prime deluxe x299 , there more older bios at 3701 , and 3801 alrady have "latest"

i think i found where find all microcodes , and how correct replace them for keep all available and not only one.

Hello mate use the oldest cpu microcode for perfomance!!!back in the day i have I9 7900X newest cpu microcode hits perfomance because adds security fixes!!!so go THE OLDEST on WINRAID forum

I need to know the exact best microcode for 7980xe, I already found where to find them, Intel will never fixes performance issues for them, they even benefit from lose perfomance older generation processors, turning older platforms into turtles, in new microcodes they fix vulnerabilities there even where they are not present, I would not be surprised that in the next microcode Intel will disable multithreading, then axv instructions, and so on.

mayabe best example is TSX  , CPU - Z see as it presented at 7980xe , but if try run code what use this instruction set, you get  from x100 to x1000 slow down !
