Hi, i have a x299 Rampage VI extreme, with a samsung 980 ssd as main ssd for windows, before the update boot times were acceptable (10-15 seconds) as i have many drives connected through SATA, and PCIe card to add 6 more sata slots, and many external drives, (total of 25) boot times on the 3801 bios were ok and acceptable, but after the 4001 update it became minutes (up to 5) any idea why?

It sounds like the BIOS update might have affected your boot times. Try checking your BIOS settings and ensuring all drivers are up-to-date. If the issue persists, reverting to the previous BIOS version could help. I’m confident you’ll find a solution soon!

i have reset the bios and re-applied the settings after backing up the profile, same issue pressist, i have narrowed down the problem to my asus USB3.1(x4) card from my previous machine x99 that came with the motherboard x99 deluxe...
i have unplugged everything and started pluggins stuff in, when the card is inserted but no usb devices are inserted no slow boot times, but if i insert my usual devices it slow boot, and sometimes hangs on shutdown or slow shut down time, so i figured it's a driver issue, maybe something introduced in the latest MEupdate as this was NEVER an issue before, so i tried changing it's pcie slot, no luck, even updating the driver from the generic microsoft one to the manufacturer one didnt help much, i mean it reduced the time but it is still slow...
the solution for now is to unplug before shutting down and starting the machine, but the problem is that my computer is beyond my desk and hard to reach as it is effectively a workstation with a lot of stuff plugged in so it's farther in the back...
anyone have a solution?
