Strix X99 gaming booting into bios every time

Hiya,

Ive just built my new gaming setup with a strix x99 Gaming motherboard. I’ve turned it on before and it’s all been fine. But the last couple of times it’s gone straight into the bios menu. Can anyone help as i’ve racked my brain and can’t think of anything. Any help appriecated. I tried unplugging my drives and it didn’t help.

Thanks.

Never had this problem on my X99 back then, but You can check these solutions - https://www.easeus.com/computer-instruction/computer-keeps-booting-to-bios.html

Thanks, i’ll give this ago. Probably sound ancient with a x99 😂

Still very good platform, specially if You have i7-6900K or 6950X installed 🙂

Hi,

It seems that your CMOS battery is dead or close to being dead, I advise you to replace it (battery type : CR2032).

@MoKiChU I’ll give that a go. I did buy it used so that is a possibility. It’s weird because i can boot into windows but only but pressing the drive i want to boot into. So annoying!

There is mention about battery too, under this link i posted for You.

Hello George18282,

In the bios on the boot tab, is your boot drive listed as Boot Option 1?
