Rog strix x299 gaming ii m.2 question

This board has 3 M.2 slots 2.1 is the vertical, 2.2 and 2.3 are below the chipset. Does it matter where you install your OS Drive. I used the 2.1 vertical. Then added a 2TB on 2.2 for games. 2.1 supports IRST while 2.2 and 2.3 support Virtual Raid. Just trying top find the best way forward.

I think it doesn't matter where the placement is

As a bit of trivia I have an Asus Hyper X16 installed in my machine with four different OS drives installed on it. The motherboard has no opinion on the location of the OS as long as it finds one to boot from.
