Do you know why the 1603 Bios was removed from the R6E support? It was there since November 2018. Long ago I installed it and I have no problems:

Yep was removed because of the TJMax bug also Asus is trying to cover that up by deleted peoples posts about it.

I am on 1602 and seem to have no problems. However, with ASUS pulling it and issuing absolutely no guidance and no replacement BIOS should l roll back to 1503 ? Should I go back to 1503 or keep 1602 ? Any advice would be appreciated.

Keep your BIOS for the I9 9xxx X processor because the previous BIOS is not compatible

That's right, I think the support could have entered an explanatory notification to guide the customers. Specifically for those who have to buy the Skylake X Refresh.
That said, Tistou77 has good explanations for those who kept their CPU Skylake X first Generations
