Hi there, I'm planning on buying new 10980XE CPU,cuz it's cheap and really I don't want to change my mobo,cuz $$$....But, I was wondering, is it possible to OC that CPU on my mobo? What are VRM limitations on this mobo? Are 8 pin and 4 pin CPU power connectors enough to pass around 500W? If someone can cast some light on this topic, it would be very much appreciated.

Summing up, for high core count like 10980xe 2 eight pin are needed if u wish to push it with OC, along with a good power supply (I would choose a >1000w platinum or Titanium if u have a 2080Ti for example, >1200 if u have SLI). The more phases=heat spreaded=less temperature, so if the board has a quality heatsink (plus fans or minifans like Omega or Encore cases), the VRM should not reach 100 degrees even using AVX loads (the total time depends on the case airflow/extra fans/ambient and other variables). U can also go with an APEX VI and put a waterblock on the VRM.
Using here a delidded 7980xe with Direct Die and Watercooling (4.8avx-4.2avx512) on the Omega with stock heatsink/minifans:
VRM temperature after 20 minutes of cycled rendering.

Nope, u can overclock your future 18c until your 8+4 eps limit amps.
Rampage VI Extreme also needs VRM watercooling to maintain high loads during an extended period of time to avoid throttling.

Hm,one question, does motherboard automatically cap that limit (like shut down) to avoid melting eps connectors?

The cpu should throttle to maintain amps limits.
When u have your 18c installed, u can try 4.7GHz avx offset 0 (or higher) with Intelburn in very high and HT Off in bios, with HWInfo64 opened. U can test your Rampage VRM/EPS limits with it!!!
Most of the times temperature will be a previous limit, but if u have a delidded 7980xe with direct die and a nice watercooling setup, or a good 9980xe/10980xe with a chiller, u can force and check EPS/VRM capabilities (amps and temps).
