I finally powered on this motherboard for the first time with the following:
10980XE
64GB DDR4 Trident Royal Mem
2x M.2 980 Pro 1Tb inserted into M2_1 & M2_2
First thing i did before powering on was a bios update to latest release using flash button on back.
I wanted to configured RAID next and i may be doing something wrong here.
When i hit F11, i select PCH RAID, computer reboots and then i can only see 1 drive available to me to raid.
When i go back to AHCI mode, i can see both drives under 'Advanced\NVMe controller and Drive Information'
Did i miss a setting to turn on for both to be recognized in RAID?

VROC RAID on x299 platform limited only Intel SSD to setup. If you require bootable or OS drive its will require VROC Key ( Sell separately).
Samsung and other vendors didn't support. The PCH RAID setup may be working but it'll bottleneck by DMI 3.0.

Hi, do you have anything in the PCIe 3.0 x4 slot?
It seems to me that normally you should be able to configure a Raid 0 with M.2_1 and M.2_2. And that Intel drives are only required for the Dimm.2 module in Raid. I have the R6EE but I think it's the same principle for the Omega (maybe I'm wrong). Watch the capture below

Negative on the PCIe 3.0 x4 slot being used. I do have two 2080ti installed (just for testing purposes since SLI is practically pointless for games). These are in both of the x16 slots above the x4 slot. Any way i can check with cmds or bios to know if the M.2_2 slot is populated? thinking i need to reseat the M.2 in this slot now.

Hi, on my screenshots of the R6EE bios you will see how to activate the Dimm modules. However, restsugavan is right, we can only do a Raid with Intel disks.
On the R6E you can do a Raid to store with the disks connected to the Sata connections.
Also look at the storage capacities on the capture of the extract from the R6E manual.
