Hello,

i have 4 Kits of F4-3200C14D-16GTZR (Total 64GB) and i want to change to a Intel Skylake i9 7980XE with the ASUS Rampage VI X299 Chipset. Can i use this kits without problems on the asus mainboard?

What is the differenz about the Kits F4-3200C14D-16GTZR / F4-3200C14Q-16GTZR. My Kits has the D and in the QVL List stays these Kits with a Q... I'm worried

Thank you very much

If the timings are 14-14-14 your fine, some of the best memory and has worked on every Intel platform since X99 for me, mine just says GTZ

I guess Q stands for a quad channel kit and D for a dual channel kit. According to some it's better to have a quad kit with four modules from the same batch, but I think you are ready to go. If you read out the module data you simply get F4-3200C14-16GTZR without the Q or D.

I am running the non RGB version (4x16GB) and have some random problems during post with 3200 at 14-14-14, need to put more voltage on the DRAM. But had no time for more in depth tweaking.

Combined kits can be an issue if you don't like manual tweaking. And there are no guarantees you'll achieve the rated timings and frequency at the specified voltage. It's a lottery.
