No I don't have any brightness setting for live dash OLED screen. It only software that can upload image for your OLED screen.

85790

It may not depend on BIOS version to fixing your OLED screen. Personally I think it could be change those OLED screen via your local ASUS vender
or exchange to new mobo once.

Here is my 3rd year olds R6E OLED

85792

It brightness level same as day one.

How about it?

I want to choose between

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Creator-X299/Overview
or
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Rampage-VI-Extreme-Encore/

they will get me the money back not a replacement but I have to sort out this issue with the store that selled me the board but they are moving slow

they will refund me 650 euro

the encore is expensive but it;s worth ?

also the msi has more m.2 slots more pcex

When PCIe slots run at x16/x16/x8 mode, DIMM.2_2 will be disabled. i see this on the encore manual ..is this reffering when using all the pcex slots right >?

maybe you help me chose the right board

Consider from your spec on signature tag , Both R6EE and MSI Creator were OK!

A bit different from both was targeting their design. MSI X299 Creator may targeting workstation task like video editing
more than R6EE which targeting gaming and overclock ability first.
Both use same X299 chipset will be not different too much on performance side.

However ASUS mobo was easily to modify BIOS than MSI for a long time.
Since my R2E , R3E , R4E , R5E series to my R6E. ASUS mobo was easily to modded.

MSI BIOS modded was a bit complicated to mod than ASUS.
Especially you love testing new microcode like me.
I preferred ASUS over MSI to running my modded BIOS.

Other option for consider.

There are 10+nm FinFet Icelake X/SP coming with Whitley platform.
ICELAKE X/SP LGA 4189 support PCIe 4.0 64 Lane each CPU.
It will be release Q4 2020 same timeline.

Different of X/SP was only ECC DDR4 RAM and Intel Optane DC P200 DIMM support.
CPU core was max at 38 Core 76 Thread 38 x 1.25 MB L2 cache 38 x 1.5 MB L3 cache
(It was hybrid Sunny+Willow Cove microarchitect AKA Sunny Cove on Willow Cove cache architect :p)
2nd Gen Mesh Interconnect @ 3.2-4.0GHz Mesh speed (Compare to our 2.4-3.2GHz Mesh speed)
Native IMC 3200MHz DDR4 8 Channal.

If you preferred to upgrade to ICELAKE X platform , I think keep your buck on pocket now was better idea.
Icelake SP will detail on 32nd Hotchip on 17th this month. Just only 2 week from here. 😮

Hello

To consider the price range msi x299 creator 500$ and asus R6EE is 720$ much more and I don't know if is worht this difference...

I don't use modded bios either so not my part in this way.

I was disspointed of r6e of the oled and the last bios 3006 I think i has some bugs...like when booting in windows task manager report very hight boot time...or maybe it's windows crap...

I don't know if can wait that long without the pc for new generation...

My ideea is to have a good stable board to run 24/7 I did not use msi no experince here...I will not clock the 12core more then 4ghz on all with everything auto and the 32gb to 3200..

I need a board to last me...i

Do you thing the msi is ok?
