New Encore BIOS 0505 is out

Looks like they have improved stability. Maybe XMP memory issues are addressed.

Edit:
Checked the BIOS module content with UBU. It is the same as in 0504 (same EFI, OROMs for storage, network etc, and same CPU mCodes etc) - the only thing different is the ASUS Board specific BIOS code. that should hopefully address XMP.

Besides my one issue this board is awesome. I am running the 0504 BIOS (my birthday date) with XMP 3600 and it is not having the cold boot issue. I can not run my memory at 4000 which I can with the 0505 BIOS but have the cold start issue with that BIOS even with all default settings. I almost want to think that I have a bad board but the Prime 30th Anniversary did the same...

You will need to tweak your memory settings to run at 4000. Post your SAV, VCCIO, UNcore voltages. I have also increased my VDIMM to 1.38V, with the UNcore offset at 0.37V. *My VCCIO is at 1.1V and SAV at 1.0V. This is to run at 4000 on my machine, but every CPU, memory kit and MB will require different settings.

So I moved the LN2 jumper to enable and now no longer have issue. My PC has been by an open window with a window exhaust fan. The coldest maybe it got in the room was 65f.

Well "cold boot issue" is part of the memory training routine and is perfectly normal. LN2 jumper might just skip that training step to prevent other issues or training fails.

I tried with Corsair, HyperX, Crucial and G-Skill memory rated at different speeds with default settings, XMP and manual settings all with the same results. This happened on the Prime 30th Anniversary board too.

My room temperature at the lowest was maybe 55F. After I built I had window open with an exhaust fan too keep room as cod as I could get it while I was benchmarking 🙂

I believe enabling LN2 just disables the cold temp sensor.
