Hi,
one question ,the higher TJMax is on the orginal asus bios?,or only on the modified bios?
Because i have higher T1Systin idle temps after bios update(orginal asus *1401)and because of this the case fans are 150-200rpm higher...
All on stock speeds....*

The Tjmax at 110°C is just with the microcode 4D 😉
Sorry for my english 😄

Personally, My guesstimate “0200004D” microcode just like urgently patch to address performance drop on “02000049” microcode
which Microsoft deployed on lastest Windows Update. With “02000049” microcode CPU Z 1.85 CPU Bench represents number
both single core and Multicore score badly. 7980XE Multicore below AMD Threadripper 1950X reference score from CPU Z
when we had summit score.

Look like intel recently microcode continue decreasing our 7980XE performance.

For Intel Management Engine Interface Firmware. It was design to control PCH chipset for I/O device and security.
Some part of its task working between CPU and PCH. Performance difference between differ ME firmware were little bit.

Other hand CPU microcode difference version which each directly control whole CPU behavior such as Support Device or not,
Fixed or Bypass CPU issue , Enable or Disable features of CPU itself, etc. These impact performance more than ME firmware.

About the microcode 4D and the increase of the TJMax, in the bios there is an option for the MAX of the temperature (TJMax if I remember correctly)
The change from AUTO (which should be 105°C) to 110°C will not solve the temperature increase of 5°C ?
I can not currently test and the microcode being a final version, Intel has to change the TJMax of these Skylake-X
Sorry for my english 😄

Where is those option menu master? I has sent intel know about these TJ Max increase? Waiting for their reply now.

From memory (I'm not at home), it's in the same tab where we can read the microcode version, etc ... At the bottom of the page, there is an option on the protection of the temperature, is on AUTO by default
Anyway, there is something to change in the bios

Yes, I found it already. Now we can setting Tj Max Via BIOS Menu. It was " CPU MAXIMUM TEMP " .

With other microcode except "0200004D" we can select "CPU MAXIMUM TEMP" as "AUTO".
With "0200004D" we must manually setting "105" on BIOS. Thank you Master Tistou77. 😮

๊๊Update!!! Master Tistou 77 , Soupirelle

Look like UBUTool damaged some part of BIOS 1401 file bring temperature sensor read difference was "5" degree celcius.
after try to setting "105" degree celcius on those menu, It still don't change TjMax from 110 to 105 at all.
However when I'd trying to enter "99" degree celcius the TjMax down to 104 degree celcius after all.
