Think I would like to go back to earlier bios, and microcode to get performance back, and ignore the risks.
How best can I do this please? which bios?, and microcode?
I will uninstall Microsoft patch too.

Any advice welcome - thanks.

Mark

Why would you want to do this? The latest microcode and patches from Windows have virtually no performance impact. Just keep patching and enjoy your machine, you won't even notice the difference, it's all in your head.

Thanks for the reply. As far as I understood it has quite a percentage hit on performance of the cpu, and that was only the first patch. I might be wrong, and your points are somewhat still valid. It is annoying however that we have not got quite what we paid for. Grrrrrrr.

Anybody else care to chime in on this?

Doesn't hinder my workload in the slightest. You'd have to do some comparative benchmarks with your workload with other users on different ucode and see how much performance you're losing (if any).

Hi Silent - nice to hear from you. I expect you are probably quite correct, I am I suspect worrying over trivialities after all.

Think I will forget about it, and just enjoy my system. btw - any tips on maximising overclocks on this platform, pm me if you like.

Have you been on Overclockers uk much recently?

Coming soon master, As we discuss " 0200004D " was not the last one. It was only for SA-00115 patch.

Now we'd SA-00157/158/159 and they committed to release new microcode patch follow these. 😮
Very funny Microcode ever since I bought 7980XE. Nice 😛
