Hello

I propose this topic to group the bios modded, it will avoid the interested person to seek the link 🙂

A feedback or thanks (or thanks boutton) is always nice (and I do not like leechers) 😄 😄

Which modded bios would be best for performance and reliability on the R6E? I already saw a couple of posts saying negative things about microcode 68.

Not me. My system running smooth:cool:
Microcode 68 prevent cache leak vulnerable Intel SA-00329.
After testing with many games and benchmark. My 7980XE can running 4.4GHz turbo Vcore 1.166V
AVX2/AVX512 offset 3 (4.1GHz) everything is OK.

Look at L1/L2 cache bandwidth via microcode 68 above.

CB20 AVX2/AVX512 offset 3 (4.1GHz) working smooth.

MC 68 must be so good they released the MC 69 version, 🙂

Modded my 3006 with this new MC 69, played BFV and it makes a flatter frametime graph.

So I see Tisou released 3006 with microcode 68. (Thank you by the way for all the work you do, Tisou!!!!)

Then we have a new microcode of 69 on the other link but i'm not sure which one is the one we should use for the Rampage VI on the link given.

What is the difference between the two and which is better?
Panteks Enthoo Elite / Asus x299 Rampage VI Extreme / Intel I9-7900X / Corsair Dominator RGB 3200MHz

MSI GTX 1080 TI / 2x Intel 900p / Samsung 970 Pro 512GB

Samsung 850 PRO 512GB / Western Digital Gold 8TB HD

Corsair AX 1200i / Corsair Platinum K95 / Asus Chakram

Acer XB321HK 4k, IPS, G-sync Monitor / Water Cooled / Asus G571JT Laptop

For 7xxx and 9xxx LGA 2066 cpus the one to be used in the link I posted is the 50654 MC 69. The other one is for another platform and is a different version, F00.

If u ask the difference between MC 68 and MC 69, obviously MC 69 is newer and guess more refined. First time I see this kind of fast release after releasing some days ago a previous version only separated by one digit (HEX).

I had commented MC 68 was pulled off from Insider 19569 after being introduced in Insider 19564.
Asus x670e Hero, 7950x, TG 7000, Master 4090, 970 PRO, 860 EVO, Intel 750,

Dear tistou,

Can you please upload a modified 3006 for the Omega with microcode 68 (69 if possible)? I would greatly appreciate it! Below is the link:

Thank you! So if I recall correctly, any microcode past 49 will result in higher reported temps for 7000 series Skylake-X due to the Tj max being 110, correct? Is there any way to correct this, even when using one of the newer microcodes?

Yes that's it
And no way to "correct" this with microcodes beyond 49
