Hello

I propose this topic to group the bios modded, it will avoid the interested person to seek the link 🙂

A feedback or thanks (or thanks boutton) is always nice (and I do not like leechers) 😄 😄

thanks, but i think the last ones you did (using your 1004 working great ;)) are the latest dunno if this bios has more recent ones 😞

cheers

So I'm trying to remember all this without going through all the 100+ pages. For the Rampages Extreme 6, what is the difference between the microcode 49 vs 68?

I understand that the 3006 is the BIOS for the newer cores of the 9900k while the 2002 series BIOS are apparently better for the older 7900ks like the one I have. (am I right there?)

SO what is the main difference between microcode 49 and 68?

My main concern isn't so much the SPECTRE malicious software. I'm looking for a BIOS/microcode combination that will best keep my Intel 900p SSDs to be preforming as quickly as possible. With all the BIOS updates, I am finding that these speedy SSDs the INtel 900p has lost about 25% of its speed, especially on the random 4k read/writes since the original 800 series BIOS and it is all due to the Spectre fixes.

I believe I gotta just accept the 25% loss so what is better then with the microcode, the 49 or 68?

Thanks,

Is there any good MC for the 10980XE? (Win10)
Because if I run CB R15 with 5GHz I get "only" around 4900 Points, which is kinda low.
In the Forum there is one, which can achieve 5050 Points with 5GHz on this CPU on the R6EE.
But doesnt want to say, which MC he has. Sooo.. yeah. Thats not that nice.
Also my 9980XE, was able to spit out easily over 5000 points with 5GHz.... hmmm 😕

I can do the same with current microcode's by minimizing whats running in the background at 4.8 Ghz

Nice trick, but if I close more things which are running in the Background there wont even be the "exlporer.exe".
5000 Points with 4.8GHz is a nice value. But seems unrealistic. On windows 10 or 11?
