As far as I know, only 9th Gen Cpus (like 9980XE) will be affected and others (like 7980xe or 10980XE) will not be affected. If someone owns a 9980XE +R6EO motherboard, they will definitely prove my problem

Just acquired an Encore with 505. Bios rates the cooling system (HK IV, D5, 360gtx) at 165 points. Because I bought a tray 10980xe, I don't wish to go past "AI Optimized" for the present until I feel more confidant in what I'm doing. It usually gives me a spread of cores from X49 or X48 down to X45 or X44 and gives full-load 330-350w tdp at package temp of 83-85deg over several minutes. The OLED reads about 12 deg lower at load, but I don't trust it. Memory 4x16 3200 C16 LPX. I only put this video machine on net for updates.

Is it a good idea to update BIOS ( to 702? ) and drivers at this time, or wait till another update? Not planning to use VROC or Raid. Thanks.

I'm running 0702 on mine with no issues, but things may be different based on memory, CPU, etc. I'm quite satisfied with 0702 currently.

The 3105 BIOS contained lastest microcode and module already. No need modify mate. ASUS's Shamino and his team did the great thing.

I think you know nothing. And they just do performance tweaks and Microcode update. Dont talk if you are not 100% sure.

Sorry mate , I forgot that my modded BIOS use newier module as signature. The 6.2.0.1034 or 7.5.0.1030 VROC didn't different on performance.
7.5.0.1030 support New QLC 96/144 layers NAND SSD from Intel which will releasing soon. For Ethenet i219V Boot Agent and UNDI OROM also
not different on performance at all. :cool:

Used modded or normal BIOS same microcode was depend on your decision. The 3105 bios was optimized in good shape.
I didn't think modded BIOS will give your rigs special performance gain at all. :cool:

I saw that there was firmware for my 905P drives and since Intel's firmware tool cannot flash through VROC, I decided to rebuild my workstation. It was time anyway since something had gone wrong with my 4K VROC performance. I probably wont ever know what had gone wrong but 4K performance had dipped to 20 megs for Q1T1, sequential seemed unaffected.

Rebuild has 4 905Ps flashed to latest firmware, Apex X299 flashed to modified 3006, VROC driver upgraded to v7.0.0.2268 and Windows is build 19042.450. Everything feels super snappy and 4K performance is back to where it should be, considering mitigations are in place. Prior to mitigations I could get 200 megs 4KQ1T1 read even through VROC.
