Anyone have intel rst installed? Version 15.9 works perfect while 16 gives me BSODS.
Anyone running 16 successfully?

Hi,

If you had a BSOD it's probably that you used unsigned 16.x.x.xxxx drivers with Secure Boot enabled

What motherboard/chipset do you have ?

Here are the latest Intel RST 16.5.1.1030 WHQL drivers for chipset from 100 series : https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27984/eng/SetupRST.exe

Hi,

Here are the latest Intel RST 16.5.1.1030 WHQL drivers for chipset from 100 series (including your X299 chipset) : https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27984/eng/SetupRST.exe

Works perfectly for me (Z370 chipset)

I’m not using the rst drivers since I have a single NVMe drive currently. What drives are you using?
MZ790A Bios 2002, GSkill F5-8000J3848H16GX2-TZRK, 13900KS, EKWB D5 TBE 300, Seasonic Prime TX-1600 ATX 3.0, Asus Strix 4090 w/ Optimus block, Phanteks Enthoo Elite, Asus Claymore 2, Asus Gladius 3, Asus XG349C, Samsung 990, Windows 11 Pro

Yes, For best performance you’ll need to update Intel OROM/EFI 15.7.0.3054 to 16.5.0.3492.
Intel RST driver 16.5.0.1027 and 16.5.1.1030 will perform perfectly.

There actually is an intel nvme driver, thats completely separate from intel rst and I'm using that too or else it installs the default microsoft one

How do you update the intel orom?
Can I still run intel rst 16.5 without updating?

Use ASUS Flashback method to update.

Yes you can still run intel RST 16.5.1.1030 WHQL driver with old OROM 15.7.0.3054 , however some features of RST 16.5 driver and EFI/OROM
may not present.*

Here is my tested

Please checking Intel NVMe Controller driver once to make sure what driver version do you use.

์Note :: In term of physical design X299 PCH and Z370/Z390 PCH are the same architect inside. However the difference of each platfom
was USB performance. X299 and Z370 use USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) bandwidth , Z390 use USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps). Other features were
the same.
