According to Intel announced on stage Xeon 6 W Code name Granite Rapid based on Redwood Cove microarchitecture ( Same as Meteor Lake but for Workstation and Server within Intel Hyper Threading technology AVX-512 and AMX ) will coming soon to competitive with AMD Thread Ripper Pro 9000WX and Thread Ripper 9000 series on socket RS1 ( LGA 4710 ) .
Intel announced Xeon 6 for Socket RS1 ( LGA 4710 )
The RS1 Xeon 6 support 64 Lanes CXL 2.0 and 136 PCIe 5.0 Lanes on system.
Sample EATX board from Intel partners. ( Shih's family nearby ASUS the most handsome guy who burned out Ryzen 9900X3D series with in BIOS update on AGESA )
Xeon 6 RS1 LGA also support Intel Multiplex RANK DIMM technology that can archive DDR5-8800MT/s
Within latest Micron technology this technically support upto 12,800 MT/sec by no nowadays.
AMD ZEN 6 will following Intel Xeon 6 MRDIMM DDR5 support nearby.

I was hoping Intel would be forced to produce a prosumer X version of the Xeon to compete with the non pro AMD threadripper (non pro) like last time: 79x0 on x299 vs. AMD Threadripper 3970X, 3960X, 3950X.
I do not want a Xeon W or rather I cannot affordable a Xeon W. I think Xeon W compete with the Threadripper Pro version (not the non pro).
10980XE was $1000 at introduction that's the right price point! Xeon W will be $3K - $10K (depending on core count)- no affordable - nonstarter.

Same, I hope Intel releases X versions, like the 10980X at around €1000
And Asus, Rampage XII Extreme 🙂
