GTX 1060 card won't boot up on Rampage 6 Extreme Encore board!

Hi guys, I have 2 systems.

1)Amd 5900X
Asus Dark Hero VIII board X570

2) Intel 10920X
Asus Rampage VI Extreme Encore board X299

I have 2 gpus: Nvidia 3090 FE and an old EVGA GTX 1060

Both the 3090 and 1060 cards work perfectly on the Amd system with the Dark Hero VIII board.
But only the 3090 card works on the Intel system with the Rampage VI Extreme Encore board.
The 1060 card won't boot up at all on the Intel system. I have a White led on the top right of the Encore board which indicates that there is a VGA issue.

Does anyone else have this issue with the Encore board with old GTX 1060 card?
It's just weird that the 1060 boot up fine on the Dark Hero board.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've experienced this issue on a z590 board with both an AMD RX 580 and a Nvidia GTX 1060.
I worked around the problem but using the iGPU to get to Windows.
Once you get into Windows, the solution is to find and install an updated firmware for the GPU.

What you mean update the firmware for the GPU?
I thought GPU only has driver from Nvidia?

I don't have any CPU with iGPU, both my Intel 10920X and Amd 5900X don't have iGPU

This can be done on any system that gets into Windows.
After updating the Firmware, move the GPU back to the system that failed in the past.

EDIT: Firmwares are NOT generic. You must find one from the manufacturer of the GPU.

My card is an EVGA GTX 1060 card, but I looked up on google, there is no Firmware for GPU. What firmware are you talking about? The Bios for the GPU?

Yes. I called it firmware so that you would differentiate it from the motherboard bios.

My 1060 is not on there. It is an EVGA 3gb ACX 3.0 FTW 1060 card

No, that's not the right part #. Mine is 03G-P4-6367-KR. It's the ACX 3.0 FTW one

I just don't get why it boot up and works fine on my Amd X570 Dark Hero board, but not the Intel Rampage 6 Extreme Encore board.

They're both from Asus.

I can tell you that while working with a prime z590-a recently, I encounter this same issue with both an asus 1060 and an xfx rx580
After updating the bios on both of these gpu's, the issue was resolved for both of them.

My search skills are quite extensive but sadly, I could not find an updated bios for your 03G-P4-6367-KR

I suggest you contact evga for direct assistance.
