What caused this problem?

Hmmm, still in the troubleshooting phase right now. Ruling out the Intel ME firmware for now and leaning more toward hardware failure on the motherboard or the PSU itself. The PC loses power randomly after 2 days of perfect runtime and restarts itself all of a sudden. I will update here if I find out the culprit and a fix.

Update: After thorough troubleshooting, it turns out it was a software-related issue. I had to disable all services excluding the Microsoft services in msconfig/System Configuration. After that, the PC is running well and had no sudden power loss. Still in the process of finding the exact software that caused it.

Check CMOS Battery. I had similar behaviors with Rampage IV Extreme back in the days.

Interesting, I didn't think about this. Will do. Thanks for sharing.
