ASUS RVIE ENCORE 6 pin power connector?

Noticed ASUS Rampage Vi Extreme Encore had a 6 pin power connector as well as 2x 8 pin connectors. Heard of a 6 pin gpu connector to connect to the gpu but not a 6 pin connector to connect to the motherboard. My question is would I need to connect a 6 pin as well as the 2x 8 pin cables?

Indeed, the PCIe 6pin are wired like the Encore 6pin
A PCIe 6pin cable is therefore good
Sorry for my english 😄

Quite confusing.

Can I just use any PciE 6 pin cable (GPU cable) so I can connect to this 6 pin power plug?

I was hoping to just connect the 2x 8 pin plugs and call it for the day.

Edit: It seems that after all it was a typo from asus and that 6 pin is not a EPS power plug but rather a normal 6 pin GPU plug.

Please confirm that this is correct.
Thanks

Excelent new Tistou.

I see you are using the encore now.
Do you find it better than the Rampage VI extreme?

I also want to ask you where is the right M.2 slot to install the intel Optane M.2 ssd?

Merci.

Frankly, I did not look for the OC (samen settings with R6E)
The VRMs heat up slightly less than those of the R6E (watercooled)

On the other hand the management of the voltageof the rams is catastrophic

The Samsung M2 is installed on the DIMM.2 and the optane 905P is in PCIe
Sorry for my english 😄

It is a beast of a board but is still very buggy, not many BIOS updates from ASUS except yours 🙂

I also wanted to ask you if I could Raid 2x Intel 900p in Raid 0 ?
Currently I do not have any Intel SSD M.2 but rather 1 Samsung 960 PRO and 1 Samsung 970 Evo pro.

Thanks my friend.

I think you can do a RAID0 but I'm not at all "good" in this field
sorry my friend
