Asus Rampage VI Extreme no power

Hello;

I bought a used board as above - it was supposed to be working. I assembled all the parts of the computer and when power was applied the "start" button on the board did not light up. Only the little bios LED lights up yellow. I disassembled everything and without processor and memory just with power to the main 24 pin socket - same effect. The start button does not illuminate. What could be the cause - a faulty power section on the board ? Or could there be another cause i.e. corrupted BIOS. Without power supply to the board there is not even anything to flesh out... No burnt tracks or components visible - visual condition flawless.

How to diagnose the fault - maybe some expert can help ?

Simple method install CPU GPU RAM SSD Cooler then plug-in PSU. If it can be bootable your motherboard will be work. If not it maybe seriously circuit damage.

That's what I did at the beginning
Then I disassembled everything, left the power and was going to flash the bios
But none of this - no reaction 😞

You need to add the ATX 8 and 4 pin power plugs at the top of the board.  Won't run without them.  Read your manual.

Of course, I checked that too. In theory, you only need 24-pin for BIOS fleshing.

The electronics engineers checked the supply voltages without the processor - they say they are OK. The board does not illuminate. Could it be the BIOS is too old in relation to the processor model ? Has anyone flashed this type of ROG board without a processor - is this possible ? It is a pity that ASUS service does not look here ....:-(

If You connect both 24 and 8-pin connectors, is there any led flashing on your motherboard?

Only little yelow led indicating BIOS  no.1 is present (there are 2 bioses)

BTW. Sorry for topic description - mobo is Rampage Extreme VI  Omega (but I cannot edit a title of topic)

Did You try switching between first and secound bios? Which CPU You installed on this board? Are You sure, that your PSU and connectors are fine?

It's really weird. I would say, that your motherboard is damaged, some short circuit maybe... When i first time started my Extreme Encore, all the LEDs started to glow, especially the colorful ones with ROG logos etc...

I installed 9940x, the first BIOS was set. I tried with 2 PSU : Bequiet 1000W and 750W (first one new, second one from running machine). Like you said - it should illuminate. I will check it with older CPU, switching between bioses.

Big thanks !
