Execute under CMD as Admin atlflashupdate.exe, select y to update, then Aquantia device number=1 and enter, wait the update messages and done!!!

I had the same problem it cant determine what firmware you are currently using. I used DIAG from this thread https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?121421-NEW-Marvell-AQuantia-AQC107-PHY-FIRMWARE-4-2-32-Rel.... Looks sketchy but it worked. Just download the firmware, take out the AQC107.clx file drop it into your DIAG folder and run the command.

station Driver has a moded 3.1.121 firmware install package that works for our Asus boards now.

it installs Marvell-Aquantia-Firmware-Version-3.1.121 without patching the install files.

worked for me.

I've got a ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme.

Drivers = 3.1.4.0

I downloaded the above post, but ended up with
90818

Is there really a need to update the firmware? I'd rather not brick it.
