Z270G supports Bluetooth - Windows 10 v 1703 Seems to Disagree

I recently built my new machine with a ROG Z270G board, a Samsung m.2 SSD, and loaded Windows 10 v 1607 to it. No problems. As soon as a trial version of the new W10 v1703 (Creators version?) came out I upgraded manually to it. No problems except one - my bluetooth was now missing. I mean REALLY missing - nothing in Device Manager, nothing in Programs and Features. I couldn't reinstall or update the driver because it simply was no longer there. I went to the ROG Support site and downloaded the latest version of the Bluetooth driver from Asus, the Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth Installer and ran it. It created a new folder in Programs (x86) - Bluetooth Suite - but seemingly nothing else - nothing in Device driver, and only the new entry in Programs and Features called Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth Installer - but no bluetooth program.

It also installed a new service in Services called Atherosvc which I assume is the Atheros Bluetooth manager. It is running. Also the Bluetooth Support Service is running. Unless I am mistaken, that is all that is necessary in terms of Services.

I also updated my Asus BIOS to v1009, thinking I might have a BIOS problem. No joy. The one setting I found there relating to Bluetooth was turned on so that is no problem (unless it doesn't work).

I have since gone back to W10 v1607 to no avail - though v1607 recognised my bluetooth before, it no longer does so. And now Microsoft has automatically upgraded me again to v1703 - but still no bluetooth.

So what am I missing? Anyone else out there have this problem?

1. Disable the bluetooth module in the BIOS.
2. Clear your CMOS.
3. Boot into Windows.
4. Shutdown Windows.
5. Enable bluetooth module.
6. Boot back into Windows.
