Look, I see 2 options for you in this situation:
1. You continue to investigate what the problem is and TRY EVERYTHING to figure it out
2. You just give up on Asus and choose an another brand, EVGA if you wish
I do understand your frustration, but you have to understand that an extreme board is made for very specified reasons... for overclocking, more specificly extreme overclocking... As such those boards are extremely complicated and you do need to spend time to learn them...
Hence my suggestions before... I do know that code 10 in device manager, but for me it always was an error from my end... - I missed something in settings or did a bad installation of the OS or drivers... I'm not saying that your board can not be broken, just try everything before you make statements...
This is a support Forum and we try to help out each other... so, what if you list in detail your hardware, maybe some pics too and let the community chew on it? If we can not help, you always can link this thread to the service people so they will see what was tried and what has to be done yet... and then you have the possibility to contact some Asus people directly too - see HiVizMan's post #7...
Or you can choose to hate Asus and switch to an another manufacturer... when you're upset, it seems that venting out helps - but I'm telling you that the frustration will remain... if you give up, you will never know what was the real issue...
