Updated armory to 2.04.09 as well, for the most part runs smoothly. The only issue I am experiencing since updating regards my ROG Spatha. Anytime I turn my PC on, the mouse and dock are no longer paired (whether it was on the charger prior or not). It takes anywhere from 8-10 attempts at pairing the two for them to sync up and I gain mouse control. Once the PC is on and they are not synced, if I switch the USB cable from the dock to the mouse I get zero activity from the mouse. The only way to wake the mouse up is to continually attempt to pair the dock with the mouse over and over. Once finally paired, everything has worked flawlessly for me, for both my ROG Spatha and my Strix Flare.

I can confirm the Custom lighting effects now work on a Rog Claymore.

Thanks for the update Asus!

Do you have the latest firmware versions for the Spatha (1.69) and dock (1.32)?
Once it's paired, is a wired connection back to normal?

I am running Armoury II on:
Software 2.04.09
Mouse Firmware 1.69
Dock Firmware 1.26

I have tried repeatedly to update to version 1.32 for the dock. But whenever I try I receive an error "No mouse detected. Replug your ROG mouse." I am of course attempting to update while using a wired connection, but just for the hell of it I have attempted in wireless as well.

For your second question. Yes, once I attempt to pair in 10+ times, I switch to wired connection, where the mouse is utterly unresponsive and no RGBs lit up. I then switch it back to wireless and attempt a few more times before it pairs properly. Once I have wirelessly paired, if I switch back to a wired connection it runs butter smooth.

I understand there is a good chance this is can all be traced back to using an older version of the dock firmware, but for some reason I cannot seem to get that to update. Should I do a complete reinstall of Armoury II?

I will private message you the latest Spatha firmware. Please check your inbox.

Hi,

new Version 2.04.09 so far so good...
ROG Spatha on wire... Mouse is unusable.. Speed is Ultra fast.
ROG Spatha via wireless... Mouse has normal Speed.

And .. A programmer has not removed his program link for Profile 4 ... Asus, you need a better QA before you release something like that.

Please check to see if anything in Armoury changes or toggles as you connect/disconnect the cable, such as the profile or sensitivity.

Also just verify again to make sure you're not pressing the DPI Switch as you plug/unplug the cable. I was not able to replicate this issue.

Thanks for reporting the program link in Profile 4.

Maybe fix the UI issues in Armory first?

Example (and I have said this a few times, on a few different threads)

Select sync OFF for Profile 1
set base as Reactive
Wheel as ' colour cycle'
logo as static..

now, with this applied, and the mouse looking as it should, when you choose between each of the zones (base, logo, wheel) the UI elements do not change to what they are CURRENTLY set at, so just to change the colour of the logo or base, you have to re-select the effect again..

This has been this way since I got my mouse about a year ago, and while some changes/fixes and improvements have happened, this has still not been fixed, which imho is quite a major 'bug'

I can see what you mean. All the effects work, but if you customize the lighting often then showing all existing effects is more intuitive.

I hope one day Aura and Armoury will work together.

For now would it be possible to refrain Armoury to pop up a window (well multiple windows in fact) telling me to turn off Aura each time i plug an usb devices (like a usb key which has nothing to deal with Armoury or Aura btw).

It would be wise also to change the text of this pop up as it states "turn off aura to unlock Armoury" (even if aura is actually off)

It should be "unsync Armoury devices in Aura to unlock Armoury"

I am happy the mouse works just fine wired without Armoury seeing all the reported issues and incompatibilities going on. Although I had to replace my first delivery, because the sensor was dead. Replacement one delivered was okay.

Now back to Armoury. I suppose it is a risk to install this software. It is a shame really, because at this price you would suspect it is polished 100%. I have chosen ROG Spartha over Logitech G903 due to its shape (fits my hand better) and I don't mind being wired. However I feel sorry for all those customers who are disappointed with it due to unpolished software package. ASUS has notorious record, among my friends at least and myself, mostly with software and drivers issues (my first launch of GL703 with auto-setup already had issues), although I still love the brand hardware and will continue supporting ROG with my wallet!

It's unfortunate you had to go through that. The next version of Armoury II should have most of the issues resolved.
