256GB Transcend SSD -> $150

Granted it is on sale, but that price is still amazing. Soon enough we will be at 2GB/$!

Now we are talking. I wonder what is driving this new price downward spiral? Is there just so much competition or is a new batch of controllers about to hit the market?

I found this it's apparently a 750gb SSD+HDD 134.$ and was 349.99$. But a question I thought a HDD shouldn't go with a ssd? Thought it would downgrade performance.

The SSD is integrated into the HDD controller on the physical drive. To the operating system, it appears as a 750 GB 7200 RPM drive. Internally, it keeps track of commonly-read blocks and stores them in the SLC SSD. When these blocks are requested, they are serviced out of the cache, which improves boot times dramatically...Fedora boots <30 secs.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Not a fan of those. I stopped selling them because I had a near 100% failure rate after 1 year.

Don't get one of those.

They do what your computer already does 😕
