SPECTRE and MELTDOWN: Bug rocks Intel / ARM CPUs

segfaulted
Level 7
Kinda glad I bought AMD this round. For those who don't know there is a new bug affecting just about every SKU from Intel made in the last .. ohh.. _DECADE_ or so. It's actually worse then F00F or FDIV. Only mitigation appears to castrate the CPU upward of 30%! (depending on processes).

Can Asus confirm AMD and more importantly for me, this or any AMD motherboard are not affected? If so, will there be RMAs?

Fun fact, Intel's CEO dumped stock back in November before they started issuing gags on people from even talking about it.

you required most recent intel microcode must be added to the Bios firmware.
ask the newest bios from asus support team.
Also you must add some registry keys for both spectra and meltdown vulnerability.
On May 14th 2019. MicrosoFt updated registry keys for above mentioned vulnerabilities

Up until recently ( in fact until about a week ago ) the patches from Intel and Microsoft broke overclocking on my RVE10 with 6900K, I could delete the microcode update from the windows system32 directory and get OC back and be unprotected or be protected and bjork overclocking, luckily the latest BIOS update from ASUS fixed that issue and I am now protected and able to overclock but have not been able to do this since the previous update of windows was released ( nearly 7 months ) on that basis I say this.

AMD Forever Permanent defector of camp Intel
I truly believe that there are people on this planet who should voluntarily remove them selves from the gene pool.
