ROG Formula VI MOBO RAM Issue

Hello there,
I tried to upgrade my RAM, however kept throwing an error 55 on the MOBO LCD display. After multiple trial and error, one specific slot, with any RAM inserted into it will throw an issue. Now, I am mixing RAM, sort of here is what I am using:

CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) / Timing 10-10-10-27

Corsair CML16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) / Timing 9-9-9-24

Currently I have two Dominator sticks and one Vengeance stick inserted and it reads fine. From closest to the processor I have them in the following order

1) Vengeance Stick
2) Dominator Stick
3) Possibly bad Stick - Empty
4) Dominator Stick

I tried swapping out either models, vengeance and dominator into the third slot. Each time the MOBO throw an error 55. For some history, I do not touch my destop other than randomly suck dust from it with a dyson vacuum. Other than when I built it, and one time when I tossed in a larger secondary HDD for media storage it has remained the same since I built it roughly five years ago. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the issue with the (my guess) RAM slot?

The way you describe that it isn't clear how you tested that 3rd slot. Take everything out, put one stick in the 3rd slot, try the same stick in the 2nd slot. If you have any other sticks installed the test is not valid.

Mixing mismatched kits and using 4 sticks is asking a lot of the memory controller. It may not be possible to do what you are attempting.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Ehhhhh, I am not so sure. The only difference between the two pairs of RAM chips is the timing which the MOBO should automatically downplay whichever one is the fastest to match the slower pair. My first test I had two in slots one and three, the RAM slots are color coded red, black, red, black so I just assumed that it meant something in particular. I first started with dominator, vengeance, dominator, vengeance. Error code 55 gets thrown at me. I power down the computer, than swamp them to be in the order of vengeance, dominator, vengeance, dominator. Still the same error code. Before I went from two to four sticks I had the two vengeance sticks in slots 1 and 3, but the MOBO was only recognizing one stick. This leads me to believe that the slot itself is messed up.
