Does anyone know where I can find a set of PC speakers with individual plugs that match up to the color-coded inputs on a 7.1 sound card? Everything I am finding online has a single 3.5mm plug.

Hi lilly45,
While I appreciate all of the information you provided, none of it answered my specific question. I have a Rog Strix B650E-F MB; the MB instructions advise to use the following jacks for a 7.1 speaker system:
What I'm looking for are speaker sets where the individual speakers (front, rear, side, center/subwoofer) have plugs that match up to the jacks on the MB. What I'm finding online are speaker sets with one 3.5mm plug, typically coming from the subwoofer, and the other speakers plug into jacks on the back of the subwoofer. It's as if the speaker sets with plugs that match up to the jacks on the MB are no longer sold.
My concern is that I won't be able to get the same distribution of frequencies from plugging everything into the subwoofer instead of the MB. If I then plug the subwoofer into a jack on the MB that is designed for front speakers, won't the output of all my speakers sound like front speakers?

Hi darhicks1970 ,
I understand your concern. It can be challenging to find a set of 7.1 PC speakers with individual plugs for each channel. Many modern speaker systems use a single 3.5mm plug for simplicity. One solution is to look for older or more specialized speaker systems designed for a full 7.1 setup. You might also consider using an external 7.1 sound processor or amplifier that can connect to your 7.1 sound card and handle the individual channels. This way, you can ensure that each speaker receives the correct audio signal.
Hope this helps!

I had a similar issue recently I found that older or more specialized audio stores have some speaker sets with color-coded plugs. eBay can be a goldmine too—just search for 7.1 speaker systems. If you’re open to a little DIY, you could get regular speakers and use adapters to fit your setup.
