Hello all 🙂

I have an asus rampage V extreme with one broken pin,

i don't have a cpu to test if the motherboard boots or not and i 'd like to know if someone has information about this pin. it's the rightmost pin before the plastic groove.

I tried to find a diagram but without results yet.

Thank you

here it is in red (you can zoom)

Can you put pic up without red dot?

P53 here... there is a map...but it looks like it is looking up through the socket from below orienting the triangle...

Looks like AJ 17 from this doc that gives vss which is connected to ground (p76)

I can see at least one other bent pin in there

thanks for the answers.

If this broken pin is not connected to the ground anymore, is is this problematic for the normal functionning of the mainboard/cpu ?

can it produce instability ?

I'm not aware of any pin that is there for no reason so, yes, I think that socket is liable to some problem. I wouldn't chance a CPU in that socket unless I was prepared to accept the worst possible outcome for CPU and board

I think that is BV 42...difficult to tell from that diag.

But to be clear that is not the pin you indicate in first post right? that pic is 180 degrees rotated compared to your pic of the socket

i think you're right i need to rotate it. so it becomes AL17 or AJ17 as Rob W / Arne says

AL 17 I think.
