First and Foremost, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.
I was one of the many people affected by the Firmware update from Asus that broke/swapped keys in the keyboards in the G752VS models. My keyboard was completely bricked. I contacted ASUS for RMA repair and sent it to them upon there request.
It arrived to them on November 30th. They ordered a new keyboard for it on Dec 2nd. They STILL have the laptop and the parts have yet to arrive.
This is my first time having to send anything back to ASUS for RMA. I'm curious if parts orders are generally this long. One email with customer service told me the parts should be available on the 15th. That ended up not being the case. Now we are approaching the holiday season and I am still waiting for them ge tthe keyboard in and installed. I am still without my laptop. I have spoken with them multiple times including supervisors. I spoke to a supervisor 2 days ago who told me he will get me another ETA for the part and I have yet to hear anything back from him.
I was really hoping to have the computer back by Christmas but that does not seem like it will happen. At this point I almost want the laptop back with the broken keyboard and I will just use it will a USB keyboard for the rest of it's days.
Sorry for the rant everyone, just really want to know if anyone has had any similar experiences that have turned out alright. Need something to calm my anxiety over this.
