No Link Posting for 5days/5posts? Spammers.

Would not allowing 'Links' in posts for 5days/5posts stop the spammers?
If a 'bot' then posts a link on a first post .. it goes in a 'Mod bin' or something ?

This way if a newMember posts a link by mistake .. sort of a failSafe.
I know u guyz are sweat'n bullets with this 'junk' .. there Must be something that
can reduce the valuable time wasted on these ... 'people'.c.

I see no reason for any new member to post a link at all to be quite blunt. So I am all for it.

Just add the ability to see who has registered (unbanned) in the last 24 hours and delete/ban from there. Much simpler to watch the "newest-member" post and toast the obvious spammers (garbage bios ... spam link sigs ... email addys with marketing (@new-purse) ... etc).

We've just turned on new user registration, so we'll see how this works out in a short-term test.

It's about 1/10 are legit.

It took about an hour to get through 500 at 3pm and I'm just about to look at it again at 9:39pm.. EDIT 67. Not bad!

Webteam are gonna look at it next week still.

Legit members will perservere .. and there is a contact .. if they have issues.

A mailbox/link could be there just for that / Trouble Registering? ... ect..

Any way to disable ability to paste into box for first five days too? I.E. you have to type in your post.
