I am an ancient builder since the dawn of the personal computer.
I built my first computer at a young age by dipping a tape covered PCB in an acid bath. It was built around the once powerful intel Z80 chip.
I have studied the arcane art of programming.
My first computer program was entered by punching holes in cards. The monitor was just a printer.
I am a seasoned gamer.
I have been playing since the introduction of Pong and Atari. My first MMORPG was completely text based, the GUI a blinking prompt.

And today, I join the Republic.
I join not to just teach the esoteric knowledge earned by being part of the greatest technological revolution since the steam engine.
I join to learn from those who have grown in this new world. To learn from those born to be gamers, like my son.

Can an old gamer with fading sight and slowed reflexes be a member of the renowned Republic of Gamers?
I hope so, as it would be an honor to stand by you on the battlefield armed with the impressive weapons that only the republic wields.

Hi there, free71 here. New to this forum, but spent some times before on Tom's and more recently on Overclock.net. Registered for fun, as I have an outgoing Silicon Lottery delidded 7700k on a Maximus IX Hero (made it wifi:) and incoming Maximus X Hero Wifi for my new and cool 9700k. Unfortunately my relation with Asus motherboards is far better than with Asus support, but I'll figure out if it's worth sticking to Asus, with its honestly superior software or not, soon enough.
