It's a Striker II Extreme nForce 790i Ultra SLI, I would find very helpfull if there was a section to it. I have it since december last year and I can see its potential but can't get it to work as I want.
I've read that this mobo overvolts (and seen it myself), but if I set my parts to it's defaults the instability is hell...My P5Q3 Deluxe was very hard to lock, I could push it all the way...

The striker was 230€ [302.088 USD] so its something... I have a Q6600 G0 and Corsair Dominator Ram

Hi Everyone

My name is Robert and I'm 56 years old. I'm looking forward to becoming an active member and I'm sure I can contribute and help with specific hardware/software problems.

I guess it took a problem that I could use a little help with to get me to finally join. I've been a visitor quite often.

Any way I haven't completely filled out my profile so here is a little about me - I started out on mainframes before PCs and I built my first 4 mhz machine and have always built my own. ASUS is my preferred MOBO and therein lies my problem. I recently installed a CM Hyper 212 Plus with that pain in the neck back plate that requires major work with the MOBO. After I installed the cooler the MOBO won't boot AT all.

I thought the back plate may be shorting somehow but it doesn't seem to be. If someone could give a little help I would be forevere in your debt.

Hello, this is Hoaxaxe and I bought my new "beast" on this June; didn't now that there was (and is) a forum dedicated for ROG users.

I am not a good player but I might say I am a game lover, but am also interested in utilizing the virtual machines though.

Hello, I am Agent Arrow. I'm a big time computer gamer when I have time, but otherwise I enjoy tabletop games (such as Warhammer 40,000), Artistic pursuits photoshop work and drawing), FRC robotics (member of world champion FRC team 469), and building with Lego Blocks. I choose Asus G series computers because I do a lot of traveling and prefer to have my gaming power on the go. I don't mind spending a few hundred extra to take my games with me. While online, I often manage to search for issue resolutions in a far too difficult manner and miss the important information immediately under my nose (as I so wonderfully did with my first post)
