I have been here a little over a month now I guess an introduction is in order. My name is speed that is my game name as well. Up till 2008 I really could care less about playing video games. My heart was in building race cars to run at local dirt tracks. I have had computers , but always got them off the rack if you will. I needed a new machine and a guy from work told me I should build my own. I thought that was a great idea, however did not have a clue where to start. I stated reading forums and doing research and got my 1st build going. M3A78-T with PII X 4 940. 8 gb of OCZ platinum and a ATI HD 4870X2. I was hooked from then on. My next build was a CHIII rig and then I started building for friends and just kind of picked up on it real fast. And my clan mate Death is a computer god and he showd me so much. Now I do repairs and builds, case mods what ever I can get my hands on. I have a regular full time job the computers stuff is kind of like a hobby that I make a little money at. And I am getting to old to be slinging the car jack and changing tires on Saturday night. 45 years old is not real old, but let me say this, you feel every little bump.

The guy from work got me started playing CS 1.6 and I just loved it. Then I picked up on some other games too. I mostly play CS 1.6 and BF2 AIX II mod. I Have servers for both. I played CSS and Crysis once and a while. Looking forword to BF3 and GSGO. My clan mates always give me a hard time that I have the badest hardware and play CS 1.6 on it. lol Yeah I guess you really don't need to Crossfire for CS.

I was a regular over at the AMD processor forums I learnd a lot over there, but one of the mods acts like he is god or something and I was tired of his bs so I thought there can be no better place then the ROG forums to keep picking up on the newest info. So I hope that I will learn a lot here and I hope that I can help a lot too.

Being ingnorant and ingnored one post at a time.

I think I'll wait until 5000 😄
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

I'm thinking over 9000 for myself.

...I already regret posting this. 🙂

Hello everyone. My name is Chris, ive gone by specialops192 since i was 10.
I was a mac person growing up just because thats what was always used in my house. Once i got a steady income, i spent my money on a few guns, then i started looking into building a PC. Always have a love for gaming but being restricted to a mac sucked.

About 6 months ago i committed to building my PC. I researched the best parts in my price range and dove it. I now have a pretty sweet rig, funny thing is, im not satisfied.
Im not sure what it is about building your own computer, but once the computer is built, there is always something more that can be done. Ive been obsessed lately with getting more speed/ technology crammed into that little box. About to try my hand at watercooling, and light modding. I CANNOT wait!

Im here because my first Mobo was a Maximus IV Extreme, and im loving it. I will buy many more ROG products... as long as they keep the black/red scheme. Thanks for reading!

Awesome build man, and welcome! If you need a hand with the OC, there are plenty of people here who would be happy to help. I know SightUp in particular has been working on OCing a very similar setup for a while now.
