Hey y'all,

Nice to meet y'all and I hope you can provide a bit of insight for me.

I've looked around a bit and it seems there is an issue with the ThunderboltEX 3 cards. Would anyone be able to tell me if I can use the TBEX3 with the Maximus XI Extreme mobo? It has the Thunderbolt header but documentation doesn't list supported cards(at least from what I've found).

I'm looking to hook up an audio interface to it. Haven't decided on the interface yet so I can't give you a model. Maybe if you're using a card and have success with a certain interface, that might help too. Thanks in advance for any info on this.

Hi, I generally go by Salticid or Salt in recent years.

40 something female, I grew up around computers and gaming starting with Tandy, Vic20, Atari and Commodore 64. Built my own machines from the 90's to the late 2000's, before getting into custom gaming laptops. I like consoles too, but prefer computers.

For many reasons though I've missed a desktop. So I saved last year and this last month put together my first build in 10 years. It's about as close to my dream build as I can get at this time, and I'm really happy with it.
