Longtime ASUS customer but purchased my first ROG motherboard, the Crosshair Hero VI for my AMD RyZEN build. Hoping to have some great conversations and maybe get some help on tweaking my setup to get the best performance.

I just finished my new Ryzen build based on:

Asus ROG Crosshair VI
16 GB G.Skill FlareX 3200mhz ram (F4-3200C14D-16GFX)
AMD Ryzen 7 1700X
Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 480 D5/UT watercooling set (where I changed the waterblock to a EKWB EK-Supremacy EVO AMD - Plexi+Nickel)

Amazing combination!

1700X running 4000 mhz stable at 1.330 Vcore (have not tried lower Vcore yet but will later)
G.Skill ram at 3200 mhz (very easy setup - just picked the 3200 mhz option in Bios)

..... and the best:

Room temperature: 25 C
Cpu at 4000 mhz Idle: 30 C
Cpu at 4000 mhz Load: 41 C (After several hours of Battlefield 1 64 multiplayer

PS:

For some reason my Asus ROG Crosshair VI suddenly turned into a "brick" and stuck at 0d code - I panicked as Safe boot and Clear Cmos buttons on mobo and on the back had no effect but I managed to "save" it using a USB stick and the "load new Bios" button on the back of the board = Awesome!
