Hello, A little about me. I install high end Audio Video systems including home automation/control for a living. Really enjoy learning new things in the tech field but also as a craftsman. I have always wanted to build my own PC but was always afraid I would break something.... After much MUCH research I decided to finally give it a go and overall have loved the experience. Unfortunately I have also had my fair share of issue which is what ultimately landed me here on these forums. I went with the X370 Prime, some G skill Trident Z RGB memory, a corsair 540 case and a Ryzen 5 1600X CPU. Did not get a GPU yet which is why I went with the X370 Prime as I thought it had onboard graphics to tide me over until I got a decent graphics card. However the HDMI doesn't seem to work on the MB and am forced to use and old crappy GPU for now. If i Knew that was going to happen I would have just gone with the ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO up front. So not sure if my board is bad or I am doing something wrong with the HDMI. I am also lucky enough to be experiencing the loss of RGB on the MB with Aura. It used to work then stopped after a week or so, only thing that shows up in Aura is the Tridents Z's. Well, I guess that is enough for now. Sorry for the rambling. It looks like a good community here.

I'm from the UK. Started builing my first PC just over 3 years ago. Just now finished my third build (wanting to indulge in some higher end part choices) and wanted to get into some light overclocking, so naturally I built my new system around an Asus Maximus Hero 8 Z170 (paired with a 6700k). Hoping to get some good tips and advice to properly setup and utilise my new system.

Hey everyone, Michael (Mike) Grier here... been computing for a long long time. I just got a GL502VSK since I wasn't getting over to just my desktop pretty much ever. Seems pretty good so far! I usually use Dell laptops, came from an XPS 15 with a 960m and before that another ASUS laptop, a N550JK which was pretty good at the time.

Finally after 5 years I'm going to change my i5-2500k@4.8 to Ryzen. I'm also going to switch to almost passive water cooling MO-RA3 420 Pro in 2 month time.
