Please introduce yourself and let us know more about you.
Let me start off, My name is ottoyu34. You can find me in few other forums with the same name. Computers being one of my biggest hobbies. I'm into overclocking (for 24/7),watercooling,system building, gaming, folding, etc.
I was bitten by the PC bug back in the 80's and still feeling the effects of it today. My first "PC Per se'" was the C64. I then moved on to try out the 8088 and all the subsequent x86 architecture from then on. With custom PC's really taking shape around the 3 and 486 era. Needless to say, I've been around a while and saw quite a lot over the years. I still build custom PC's for customers and myself. I have always been a Huge fan of Asus products. Way back when, Asus was just getting started but had already made quite the name and if you owned an Asus board you were definitely an enthusiast. I have, and have had, many Asus boards, along with their other products. I currently run the RVE10 in my setup and I just built my wife a new system a few weeks ago and used the Strix X99 in it. So anyway, I am a bonafide tech junky. I am a DIE HARD PC gamer and builder. I have been loyal to PC's for over 30 years and don't intend to stop until I'm dead. Glad to be part of yet another group of enthusiasts who share a passion like I do. Thanks for having me!
Hello my name is Jim I'm currently a 16 year old student who is interested in anything that got technology now days, but mostly a pc geek, i don't know that much to be honest but i want to know more about computers
This is my second ROG board (had an early ROG Formula for core2duo E8400, iirc it had nvidia chipset!), although I have always used Asus, apart from using an MSI board, that was a horrible experience. Gigabyte were slightly better, but I always come back to Asus.
I have just gotten hold of the Crosshair Hero VI and a Ryzen 1700. Just in the process getting it up and running at the moment. I now have just about everything ready to go. Last night before bed I managed to update the bios to 0902 from the USB function. So hopefully once I get home tonight I can boot her up and see whats what! Cant wait to get my teeth into it.
FWIW I have upgrade from (hopefully) from an i7 2600k, that has served me well for the last 6 years or so.
Hello from Malaysia. I'm totally newbie here. Just got a ROG G752V-YGC192T few days ago after saving money for so long.
I'm pretty new to anything related to computer, but for sure I like the design and vapor cooling system that the G752VY carries along. My first ASUS gaming notebook.
Previously I was using ViewSonic netbook and Toshiba Satellite Pro. ViewSonic was a starter netbook for me, and Toshiba belongs to my bro's.
Since ViewSonic is only 1GB RAM that keeps hanging and lagging like hell while Toshiba is having 2GB RAM with gone-nuts keyboard, at last I decided to buy a new notebook for myself to end my years of struggling and suffers.
My name is krish, I was a member since 2014, but not have much activities in the forum for 3 years time. My hobby is computer making, normal, air cool and water cooling. During my recent built I experience some problem in installing the hard drives. At present I am upgrading my asus Maximus 6 extreme mother board with 2 more hard drives. *It already have 1 SSD 250 GB, 2 nos 6 TB western digital hard drive and 1 number 2 TB hard drives. I was in the process of adding 2 more hard drives in to the mother board. When adding the Drive the system failed to boot up. I removed all the drives, clear the cmos but the system won't boot. I removed all the hard drives, except the SSD. Then the system boot up. Now my system won't take any more hard drives. I cannot hook up a second hard drive. I have another computer with asus maximus 6 extreme mob. It has 7 hard disks connected to it. It is running for the last 2 years without any problem. *In both system I used EVGA 1300 power supply unit. So I don't think it is a power problem. Can it be due to the PSU.? So I need suggestions from the forum. Kind regards Krish*
I am Jacob, a dutch biker living in Indonesia now. I'm a hobby programmer and work with computers since the ZX Spectrum, to Atari xl, st amiga, pc. I worked with Tanenbaum's minix and Linux, wrote some network apps and retired now. Start playing around to learn more from you guys to overclock. Excuse my English sometimes 😄 since I my spelling might not always be correct..
Whats Up Folks? Jumped through the hoops and I could post a couple hours later. First ASUS was an A7V-266E when XP came out with a 1GHz cpu. A8R32-MVP with an opty170 was my favorite, massive bandwidth and at that time teaming the two lan ports seemed to make a difference when opening a folder with ten tabs in it. Still got that one, with that LOUD PCP&C 510 psu. CH III was good, CH V-Z OK, my new CH VI Hero seemed finicky with 0902 a couple days ago, but 1001 has made things better for me. Excited about this new build.
In other words I trust & love ASUS motherboards including my new one since I got the leds all red with aura instead of those d*mn pastel colors!
