Hello everyone!!

I'm just an old guy that enjoys computers as a hobby. I go back to the DOS days of the 80s. It seems that I am always 1 or 2 operating systems behind the times, if it's not broke don't fix it theory. I am the Go-to guy at work and maintain 3 Server boxes and 8 users. W2K server as the oldest and Win7 x64 as the newest. I can't play to much at work because someone may get pissed off if they could not make money in the Sales department.

I am a bit of an electronic hoarder and just can't seem to toss out any old computer stuff. I still have couple of 5.25 floppy drives just in case. I'm relatively new to the Gamer/Overclocker arena. It recently started when I was BSing with my neighbor about getting a new motherboard. He piped up and sold me the board that brings me here, a MAXIMUS II FORMULA with a QX6700 Intel, 8Gb ram, 600W power supply, and a kick-ass CPU fan. Now I will be building my Home PC, in fact I'm using it right now.


I hope to contribute to the forum if I can, but feel that I'll be reading a lot more. I do know where the search button is and I also know that Google is my friend.

I have used Asus product since 2011 when I got an Asus G74S lap top. My first experience with SLI was two Asus GTX 760, and know I use a Asus Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard, and I got an Asus Strix Geforce GTX 1070 OC gpu. I have joined the Asus forum to get help to fix my problem with the my new Asus GPU. Hopefully this will be an helpful community.
