Hey fellow Republic of Gamers! My name is Adam, I just bought an ASUS ROG G550JK. Currently loving it and am happy to be a part of the exclusive Republic of Gamers club. I hope to be a pretty active member and look forward to the future discussions and would like to thank some of you in advance for the help I will most likely be requesting.
I am a sub-hardcore gamer, I play RPGs, MMORPGs, Action RPGs, some FPS'. Those are my preferences but I love any great game. Not too picky, but I do steer clear of strategy type games.
i am an avid PS4 gamer but will be putting most my gaming efforts into PC gaming from now on. If anyone has a great game they think I would like and possibly even play together, PM me and let me know! Because I know near nothing of any great PC games unless it is cross-platform...
My favorite games of recent times are DA:3, Skyrim, Last of Us and Far Cry 3. I used to play diablo 2 too much... If there is something you think I would like let me know!

Robbie here originally from the Philippines but is currently residing in Costa Rica. I've been an Asus user (MB's, VC's and optical drives) since 2001 setup on my personal and friend's machines (the local friendly go-to-guy for computer assembly, upgrades and what-not). Great brand so far based on experience. I joined this forum as I recently purchased a RoG G751-JT which is currently in transit. I am really excited for my purchase (despite all the cons I've been reading about the G751 series).

Hello- I got a Asus RoG GL55J laptop with 15 inch screen. I joined the forum looking for tips and tricks. I am wanting to swap out the dvd to add an additional SSD. I also will be doing a fresh install of w8.1 probably dual boot linux mint.
Anyways, looking at the forums notebook threads and don't see a thread for my particular model line. Would it be included in the "G771, G751, G551 and GX550 Gaming Notebooks" thread?

Hi, my name is Tamás and I am a 21 year old "gamer" boy who likes near everything about computers.
I prefer FPS games, but nowadays I'm stuck at The Crew with friends, it is really good game to spend your time with.

I came to this forum as an "emergency! help me!" like kid, but everything starts somehow 😄
I have just an ASUS 660Ti DCU2 OC that made me sad some days ago (a long story...) but it likes OC as good as my i5 3470 that can handle 4004Mhz with 106,9Mhz BCLK 😄 (ep*nis level = 200)

Also I will look around there and I will to help as many people as I can with my small knowledge, Greetings from Hungary guys 😄

P.S: I saw there is a page to regional FB pages, you can add Hungary too as I don't see it there: http://rog.asus.com/regional-rog-facebook-and-forums/

Hello fellow ROG's,
I am Eric. New to this forum but i have been using Asus parts since i started messing with PC's back in 1998. I always been happy with Asus and believe they build some of the coolest, the toughest and most reliable stuff out there. I am happy to say i recently bought my first ROG product, The awesome Crosshair V Formula-Z. Finally a Mobo that gives my FX-9370 sufficient power to its TDP of 220W. Other things i got running to her is duel Asus R9-270X Top Editions, 16 Gigs of duel channel RAM Radeon R9 Gamer Editions running @ 2400, Corsair RM1000 PSU, Corsair H105 water cooler loop, two 1TB WD Black Editions running at RAID 0 for system / games and two 1TB WD Black Editions running as a RAID 0 for raw / full detail video recording and finally a very pretty Thermaltake Level 10 GT full tower ATX to hold all those pretty things. One of my hobbies (other then playing games) is recording those games and editing them into some cool videos on my YouTube channel "The Games We Play". Any way, hope to see you guys in future threads and look forward to being apart of this awesome community.

OK, will give a shot at posting on a thread with 161 pages 🙂

New here, as you probably figured, been a computer enthusiast since I was in Jr High. That was the days of the TRS-80, Apple II, and my first computer the Texas Instruments TI-99 4/A. so I'm not a young kid in the game... Electrician by trade, but have been into computers my whole life almost. Built many for myself, and friends, and companies I've worked for.

Have owned many a ASUS motherboards in the past, back when the pentium pro was top of the line. Feel like a beginner when I read the posts on this board. You young guys have kept up with the times, and I'm busy raising a family, time is limited 🙂

Anyway, I am about to build a new system, current one is about 4 years old, not slow by most standards, but not up to par.

Been reading alot of posts, and see that we have many well informed individuals on this site, and want to absorb as info from you as I can, and have been using that information to put together my next build.

Look forward to reading your posts, and hope you will help me with the problems I encounter when I undertake my next project.

Glad to be here......

Hello all,

My name is Mike Fisher. I'm into photography, rc aircraft/drones, some gaming, and programming (oh, did I forget BLS, Rob Zombie, Sevendust, Pantera, . . . ). My youngest of two boys just finished Basic in the USAF, the other is pursuing a career as a DJ. As a Systems Engineer in the DC area, this is the first PC I've built from scratch. Not too bad of an experience overall so far but I still have an issue to overcome before I can call it a success. After I get this system up and running as I designed it to run I hope to learn what I need to know about overclocking - pros/cons, advantages, how to do it safely and such . . .
